my name is Gernot Gebhard, I'm 99 years old (no just kidding *g*) and I study computer science and mathematics at the University of Saarland which lies in Germany. From childhood on I was interested in two things, on the one hand it was the past (especially the dinosaurs ;)) and on the other hand the universe...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well, lets say there should be extraterristial life, if not, then its an extremly waste of space...

Transmitting a beacon isn't such a good idea 'cus we should have to send lots of them to get sure that at least one other species recevies it...

I run SETI@home, because its cool to be part of the moment ;) and 'cus I like to help other ppl...
