Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
We would be very self centered to believe that no other life exists in the universe.
Any other life with the possibility to detect us would have long since given up materialistic gains as it's driving force in society. If we don't do the same then we will never get off this rock and will be wiped out by the next big impact.
I run SETI@home because it interests me, is a no-cost extra while my PC's are in use and helps me stability test when cranking them up a bit.
