| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1) Yes, I believe there is life out there. I do not know when we will discover it. Next week, perhaps, when mutant alien rhinos show-up and start killing everyone. Or maybe in a million years when all the humans are long dead the aliens will pop around to see if anyone wants lunch.
2) OK, I read this question and thought it said, "Should humans transmit a bacon for others to find?" Then I realized it said "beacon". But damn, I love bacon.
3) I run SETI@home to crush the spirits of those below me on my team. I am a master block cruncher. I crunch blocks in my sleep! While I eat! While I'm on vacation! Take that space coyote!
