Personal background
I originate from and still live in Southern California, currently working as a Microsoft Windows 2000 Network Administrator for a large company. Hobbies include being an armchair astronaut scanning through Mars images from Malin JPL’s website as well as researching ancient civilizations and local American Indian pictographs. I also enjoy graphic art work and website construction. Off line hobbies include motorcycle road racing, off-road motorcycle riding, and street bike riding. Visiting the beach, snow skiing, and any number of other activities found in and around Southern California. I have traveled around the sun 43 times aboard spaceship terra this life with many significant sightings of an extreme paranormal content and anomalous exterritorial sighting.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
"Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?"

I believe the discovery was made long ago, the danger lies in the fragile eggshell minds of the Religious zealots that fear anything outside their perceived box. I believe it has been discovered here on earth, on the moon and on Mars.

“Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?”

Yes we should be transmitting the following: Beware of earth it’s a hostile planet run by warlord liars and thieves! Came back in another earth years and see if we have calmed down any!

“Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?”

I have not run the software in a while; I just downloaded the latest version and am going to be contributing some more cpu time soon. I enjoy the idea of being contacted by an outside (off planet) group but am skeptical that it would occur through this specific project. I know contact has already been made in many other arenas.
