Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

Yes, i do believe we are not alone in this HUGE universe.
Benefits are unimaginable. The danger is to harm any contact whatsoever with out tremendous ignorance...

2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

"We are here" (include position where =)
Simple as that, let 'fate' do the rest.
Of course, like in the book 'Contact' by Carl Sagan and pictured in the movie 'CONTACT' , mathematics seems to be the universal 'language', so it´s bound to be used to communicate with E.Ts
*(note: i haven´t read the book by carl sagan, so excuse me for my balant reference to it =)

3. Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

Curiosity, will, faith... you name it...
SETI has been underrated, countries are more focused on their own economies, 'wars' , diplomacy and other agendas. (let´s not get into that here)
What is being done is all i think can be done for now.
'Using' a community to search for E.T. life... that´s bound to be successful... i hope =]
