Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always thought that we are not alone and that there has to be other life out there, It may not be at the same level of evolution as us and may be years foreward or retarted from us. I would imagine that radio is not the only form of communication and there are proberbly other forms which we have yet to disscover, I think that when we can find a way of communication which is faster than light then this is where we may find other life forms. We have to start somewhere and this is why I support SETI. If life is found, I hope we can find a way to unite as a world to talk to them otherwise we should keep our opinions to ourselves. I would image that the world raligions would have a problems with other life and looking at the intollerence to other's here on Earth would be enough to scare the wits out of any ET .We should send a beacon for other's to find us. There is so much we could learn and as I think this may help bring the people of the World together even if it was to fight a common enemy.I have 2 computers at home and feel that the programe should be used as much as possible and even though I don't always leave my PC on I try to make time for the programe to run. Further reasurch needs to be made into other possible means of communication other than what is currently thought to exist.
