Personal background
I'm a lifetime resident of Whatcom County, Washington, as far north as you can get in the "Great North Wet" (not a typo...) without being in Canada, and a network maintenance tech for Frontier (the Telco). Been working with and on computers most of my teen and adult life, getting started with punch cards and before "Big Blue" decided to get into the personal market (yep, I pre-date the first PC...), and run a conglomeration of boxen on an MS Domain network that range from my wife's WinXPPro Turion64 laptop to my WinXPPro dual-proc AMD 2600+ workhorse, with other boxes running Win2K Advanced Server, Ubuntu, and one with the play with "OS of the week" named Toybox...

Geek? You betcha. If you're looking for a working Kaypro luggable, Kaypro PC, Tandy 1200 portable, or Tandy 1000, let me know.

What do I do for entertainment? Why, tinker, of course! :)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Trying to imagine that Terra is the only home of sentient life in the vast universe is illogical... we're probably someone's ant farm or "Genesis Project".

By reaching out to the limits of our technology, we will someday make acquaintance with other beings. For better, or for worse...
