| i'm a systems/control engineering major at case western reserve university. i work for the case housing department (web programmer) and for nasa glenn research center (r&d on the space based internet). i'm pretty much a big computer geek, but i also like other stuff. in my free time i'm on one of my 3 bicycles (1 mountain, 1 observed trials, 1 road). that's about it though, pretty boring. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

i do think extraterrestrial life exists, but i don't think there are humans anywhere else in the universe. i'm indecisive on whether or not we're the most evolved in the universe. i am fairly confident that somewhere (actually probably in a lot of places) there exists some other carbon based life forms.
i think distributed and grid computing is an awesome thing that needs to be more utilized. that is why i participate. i'm not that concerned with finding life elsewhere, but i would really like to have more accurate weather predictions, and this technology might help!! |
