Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe there is extraterrestrial life out there. The mathematical possiblities are to great to ignore. With the vastness of space life surely must have occured else where. We may never have contact but that doesn't mean there isn't life out there.
I also believe we should transmit a beacon for others to find. It is our nature to explore and discover new things. If the early explorers hadn't gone out searching, life as we know it would not exist.
I run SETI@home because to analysis all data would take just to long and it nice to know in some samll way I am helping.
