Personal background
Living in Akron, OH
I am a computer programmer / systems analyst. Specializing in Progress 4GL programming and database administration.

On the side, I am a category II amateur cyclist. I compete in 50 - 60 races each year and log about 8 or 9,000 miles of riding per year. Big fun!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@Home because a CPU cycle is a terrible thing to waste.

The project seems worthwhile and certainly has created an entire realm of massively distributed computing projects. Though I'm skeptical that extra-terrestrial intelligence can/will be discovered, I still hold out hope that it will.
