Profile: Clann Gael Systems

Personal background
Clann Gael Systems is a small private/civilian multimedia/scientific research concern still in it's infancy. Wisely for financial reasons it is divideded into two growing concerns. Science and research inevitably cost money, hence it's two seperate divisions...
Multimedia: A small writing and publishing concern. Multimedia is set up to provide the on going funds for all scientific experiments and projects undertaken. It creates both science fiction as well as science fact, and also creates detective fiction of varying kinds.

A.R.A.D.I: Recently known as A.S.V.D, this department underwent a recent overhaul and emerged with a new name to reflect the minor changes that went with it. Science is one of the most noble goals that mankind can strive for while searching for the answers to two important questions...
"Why is it so?" and "What is the truth behind creation?" Both answers exist within the universe. Answers to these questions only serve to lead us to further questions. This is the quest that the A.R.A.D.I. department or Astronomical Research & Aerospace Development Initiative seeks to find answers to for the benefit of all mankind.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Q1. The universe is complex and immense beyond wildest imagination. The concept of human life being the only intelligent life in such an expanse of space and time is a conceited opinion, just as the earth being the centre of the galaxy is! Bearing this in mind... one can only conclude just as new life forms are discovered in the sea, so too the universe is teaming with life. Finding it however is the big question!?!? Does it really wish to be found?
Q2.I think that they are already aware and conscious of our existance. Since the discovery of radio we have already been broadcasting information to the cosmos. One more would hardly be heard above the chatter of what we are still sending them today! Especially with the advent of the cell phone!!!
Q3. Just as it took time for our world to develop, the fact that life exists is not a guarantee that life is advanced beyond life here on earth. Stars form independantly of each other along with their planets. The prospect that a similarly based culture that is as developed as us or close (either side) to us is a distinct reality. Not all of the cultures living in our the galaxy would be star hopping super intelligences, so for that reason SETI@home is a project worth the time and the trouble to undertake. The world can't afford not to. Who knows what we may find!!!
