Yes I do believe in life out there... Think about it, all that space, and just us? I would think that was an unbelieveable waste of space.
I think we have already met them, we're just either not smart enough to know, or the Government is 'smart' enough to keep it well hidden enough. It really would not rattle me too much to learn that some of the life forms already here are not from here... fire ants, the platapus, homer simpson... think about it!
I would hope we would benefit, technologically at least, from any contact with another world capable of communication. (as we know it, radio waves etc. there might be other ways that we have no idea about yet)

We already have... they know about all of our viewing and listening habbits by now I'm sure. Just hope they like Pink Floyd...

Just in case... I think it would kick ass if my computer helped decypher even a bit of a transmition from another world.
Suggestions: A little more information about the spectrums (a graph showing Shortwave/AM/FM/TV/Cellphones/SETI@home, making it seem more real to the users. Like a "you are HERE on the RF spectrum") and the time frames/data units, that we're crunching on. What are YOU looking for? Is there a way to tell us our batting average in context to our CPU time, like are we gettin any 'hits' or are we striking out alltogether? |
