3. It is a very good indicator of processor performance in absolute terms. Since it proivdes the ability to benchmark either an individual work unit or a large body of work units, the performance shown will be very close to true abilities for any given machine. Fourier transforms are one of the oldest engineering programs and are very indicative of CPU speed. |
