Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think extraterrestrial life exists? No, I KNOW it exists. Ok, tell me if the universe contains all of everything, and is theoretically ever-expanding, what are the chances that we are alone in it? ZERO! I'm not saying theres anything smart[/i] out there, but there is definately something out there. Weren't we just saying that we found some traces of life on Mars, or something? And that's just next door...

What should we send if we find extraterrestrial life? Well, contrary to a lot of opinions, I don't think that 'We come in Peace' is really the way to go. Maybe an image or something? Couldn't say, but let's not make it some picture from WWII.

Why do I run SETI@Home? One, isn't it just sooooo pretty? Basically, I have a cablemodem, and a laptop on it that I leave connected 24/7. So I figure instead of just wasting electricity, why not try to find aliens while I'm doing it? Laptop is really slow, but my PC is on a lot, and that works on the same profile whenever it's on, too. My views? It's just plain cool. Suggestions? None so far :)
