Extraterrestrial life? Maybe. Or maybe there was. I have a feeling that if we ever receive a signal, we'll discover it's coming from some civilisation that no longer exists - having destroyed itself the way we're threatening to do.
Worked with computers for way too many years. Have never liked switching them off, but never liked to see them just sitting idle. SETI provides the perfect answer.
