Personal background
I have perfected the art of wasting time. My mother bought me musical instruments when i was 3, and i learned how to make loud noises on them. My favorite thing to do on my guitar is throw it on the ground and kick it while running through delay/distortion/reverb pedals and a surround mixer with the volume cranked as loud as my speakers can handle.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think the possibility of extraterrestrial life existing far outweighs the possibility of it not existing. The universe is very very large. It seems to me that there's got to be life out there somewhere in some form.

If humans were to transmit information into space, i would suggest The Bible, The Koran, The Talmud, The Tibetan Book of the Dead, the Gnostic gospels, and other major religious writings.. along with an episode of the simpsons, the album Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix, and the "Welcome to Canada" scene from Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.

I am running SETI@home because i think it is an interesting idea. My computer can handle it, and with my cable connection, i don't see any reason not to run it.
