| 36yr old male, born and raised in Portland, OR. 13 years active duty military. Currently civilian and planning on staying one. Trying to get into technical writing. I love motorcycles and travel. I want to buy some property in Eastern Oregon where there is no light polution in a desert environment that allows incredible star gazing. I'm good at working with my hands and would love to build my own telescope some day. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I believe that there must be other life outside of our little tiny world. I'm sure that there are other humanoids out there somewhere, and most likely forms of life we can't even begin to understand. I think that SETI is a great project and needs to be maintained. However, I'm not as big on sending out our own signals. I'd rather we discovered others first and had a chance to maybe learn about them before first contact. While I understand that the odds are quite slim that my computer will discover anything, I believe in the cause enough to contribute my resources to the project. |
