| Hey. Im a 15 year old high school student from Pittsburgh Pa. I became an Eagle Scout at 14, but I haven't been successful for a job position I desired. I took 2 computer programming classes my freshman year(PASCAL and QBasic(Kinda outdated, but still provides some fundamentals in computer programming)) and I am taking A.P. C my Sophmore year. I also plan on taking the full Cisco classes they offer at my high school my junior and senior year. As you can tell, I'm kinda a computer nerd. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I first became intrested in SETI@home when I saw all the computers in the computer programming lab had SETI@home running. After looking up what SETI@home was, I went home and downloaded the client. I got it set up on my computer which runs about 20/7.
I wanted to run the SETI@home client on my computer because I do believe there is extraterrestrial intelligence out there somewhere. Since I believe they exsist, I decided to help aid the SETI@home cause. I believe the project is very worthwile, and that It shall speed up the time of discovery of E.I.
I believe that if we do discover E.I. that they would be just as curious of us as we are curious of them. The benefits could be a technological revolution or a cure for cancer. I believe that we should transmit a signal so that any form of E.I. can see that we exsist. |
