Personal background
Who am I?

That's a good question. To start with I'm married, the father of two and I live in Belmont, Massachusetts. My wife is a stay at home mom, doing all the important things she does. My older daughter is in the fifth grade and is quite the social butterfly. My son, who has Fragile X Syndrome, attends a special needs school in Arlington.

Among my hobbies are Astromony, Space Exploration, HTML Programming and Japanese Animation.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run SETI@home?

When I was in the military I worked with a group of scientist who studied the effects of the Ionosphere on radar signals. I am supportive of research that is aimed at learning more about the Earth and how to make it a better place to live. The idea of using a worldwide network of computers for research purposes, and the fact that I myself can participate, is thrilling.

I personally don't believe SETI@home will find any signs on Extraterrestrial Life. But if it make us realize that we have to make life on Earth work, it's worth doing.
