I'm middle-aged but young at heart, living far enough away from big towns to feel I'm in the country, but near enough to have everything to hand. Ever since I got a Botany degree I've been doing computing - it figures! I've always had a love of sci-fi books (though I don't read much these days - not enough time!) but I spend a lot of time doing cross-stitch, looking after my elderly parents (and my husband!), pottering in the garden on fine days, and now spending far too much time on my home PC (as if I didn't spend enough time at work on one of the darned things!!)

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I bought a PC many years ago, thought it was sitting around idle for most of the time so decided to use it for the common good. Began with the original SETI, and then moved on to other worthwhile causes with the advent of BOINC. The PC may have changed but the processing continues! |
