I am a System Administrator for the New England Power Grid, ride motocross, climb mountains and surf the net. Not much else to tell.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Sure, why not. I have no idea if we will ever discover it. The benefits would be many as we could learn a lot.
2. Personally I don't think we should transmit. I think it is better to be
safe then sorry and I don't believe we know enough about what we are dealing
with yet.
3. Why not... Got a lot of RAM and a kick butt processor...
I think the project makes sense and is a good idea. Can't say I have any
suggestions as it appears that all that can be done is being done.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
