The "possible topics" sound good to respond to, so:
Yes the statistical probability of ET life seems extremelly high, and with the observable tenacity of life, in the abscence of 1st hand evidence I presumme ET life does exist. It seems most likely to me that it will be "discovered" when they make intentional contact with humans, or at least when contact becomes widely known.
Transmitting a "Come and get us" beacon seems terribly imprudent.
Even though I doubt seti@home will produce usefull results, I still think it's a very very worthwhile effort. After all, I may be wrong about it not producing worthwhile results and the effort certainly causes no harm. |
