Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) I think that the actual human race is not the only one to exist, and that most probably there is other life somewhere in other galaxies or other systems which we still don't know nothing about their very existence. If the extraterrestrial life is represented by harmful individus or species, it could be good as a prevention to at least identify them before they strike. If the extraterrestrial life is represented by harmless individus or species, I'm really afraid that human scientifics will do the same with them than they actually do with rats, and other living research "material". In the same time, I should like them to be known and for them I wish they'll never discovered.
