Personal background
I'm a student at USF. Currently, I'm majoring in Marketing. My graduate degree will be in my intended career which is Advertising. I'm trying to get into either Boston University or Syracuse for the Masters Degree.

I have an amazing girlfriend named Shannon. She is the one I'm in that picture with.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that SETI is a jumping stone that will help Normal Joe warm up to the idea of taking initiatives to make contact with extra-terrestrials. In all honesty, SETI can only have limited success at most. We might be able to get some sort of communication from ET but it would take so long for them to get a reply back that the species may be dead altogether. Or, perhaps more likely, before we get a message back from them WE'D be the ones that are gone. "You maniacs! You blew it up. Damn you! God damn you all to Hell!" But imagine we did make contact. You remember the 60's, the Russians, sending a man to the moon??? The excitement of finally getting there? Well, I don't remember but from what I've been told, there was quite a buzz in the air. So let's just say that the elation of communication with a ETs would be infinitely more electrifying. When we make contact eventually, humans will enter another age of enlightenment. Art will focus on space. Science will enable us to traverse our solar system, and eventually out of it, much faster. Humans will open their minds and shed our outdated beliefs as we look towards the stars with a new mission. Face to face contact with our new friends.
