Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think extraterrestrial life does exist out there. As to when or how humans will discover it I have no idea. I think it will just take time and patience and at some point someone will get the message. There are many benefits, such as technology exchanges where their civilization may be more advanced than ours, or we would get to learn about new and exciting ways of living, maybe a way to stay healthy forever with out using crazy diets. Some of the dangers could be that they want to destroy us. If humans were to transmit a beacon they should send out information about the earth and humans as a whole race. I run SETI because finding ET just seems pretty cool.
