Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

Of course extraterrestrial life exists, if it didn't, we wouldn't be here. We will discover that is a fact when I hit #1 for the UW SETI team and I turn in the identifying unit. No dangers of such a discover, only good and peace can come out of it.

2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

We have been doing that for years now with TV and Radio, however, when we start to go direct digital communications we will no longer be broadcasting, lets hope they don't think we vanished...

2. Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

I run SETI@home because my every three year 1k-2k investment in PC hardware had better be slaving for me when I'm not around. My views about the project...my oh my, what a great team at SETI and everyone's hard work will one day go more than noticed. Suggestions you say.....hmmmm, a prettier web site could help.
