| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I started contributing to SETI@Home, approx 15 years back (yes, when SETI@Home started), when I was a school goer!!! I started it as a curiosity based on a strong belief that we are not alone in this universe and that the people at SETI had devised a really wonderful way to effectively utilise the computing power of participating computers all over the world. It caught my attention and was really intrigued by the feeling that I might be contributing something to the humanity, something to the scientific community, something for the betterment of knowledge of human beings.
For some years, I had a gap in using SETI@Home due to other "more pressing" matters.... but I am back with a bang now.... 'cause I have not changed a bit from that old school goer.
I would suggest the team @ SETI to send a weekly or a monthly digest in e-mail to those who have subscribed to News/ Results @ SETI.
