Hi, Tim & Doug here. Tim is a management consultant with Headstrong. Doug is an independant decision support/data warehouse consultant. We live in a 110 year old(ish) home in the historic district of lovey Elgin, IL. Tim's middle son, Keith and his wonder cat, Sammy, live with us too.
We enjoy motorcycles, camping and gardening. We are also learning to power-paraglide but honestly, Doug's more gung ho about it.
Tim has been running SETI@HOME classic and has racked up a lot of credit. We just (8/22/05) switched to BOINC client (just as the whole thing came tumbling down) and so far (8/26/05) have received 2 work units we can't return. One out of the 4 computers has been able to contact the scheduler.
Nice technology, huh? I wish I'd kept an old classic install file around. My clunky old laptop keeps chunking out results while the fast machines just sit here and "back off." Sheesh.
