Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) Probability says "yes, there is extraterrestrial life".
But if it exists in our galaxy? Probably not. I think we will NEVER get in touch with aliens. But if we would have a proof of etrxterrestrial life (through SETI, maybe) this would be a big benefit to mankind!

2) If it's not too expensive I think we should transmit a beacon. But honestly, I don't know what to send. Maybe just a very simple pattern like 1010101010??

3) I don't know why I am running SETI. Maybe because it doesn't cost me much and there IS a chance to discover e.t.? Chances ar very low, but at least it showed us many things, e.g. how to successfully set up a distributed computing project and so on.
