Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI@home is more than just a scientific task while it also helps to bring together millions of people with similar interests and concerns. The number of users reflects the importance of this "path" in the human development and it may be a collateral prize for the great efforts of SETI@home creators, thinking on the meaning, pourpose and interests of each people who join the group.

Yes, humans should transmit knowledge, art and science to the space. Maybe it would be the only way to preserve what we have done for good. Using appropriate transmition power the data should remain readable along thousands of years.

My suggestion to SETI@home is to find an antenna in the south hemisphere and to explore other wavelengths since, possibly like us, the ETs may use more low frequency carriers for the every day comm.
