Personal background
Hi there; I'm a college student currently studying at Clayton College & State University: Morrow, GA.

I'm an active writer, trying my damndest to get my name out there among the big-leagues. That means writing short stories- lots of short stories and filing them away, and sending them off, doing my bit in the process to strip every last tree off the planet and feed it to my Epson. I've also completed a novel and am mid-way through a second. Not bad for a 22-year old, eh?

E-mail me if ya want.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've joined Seti because I truly do believe that there is other, intelligent life out there. While I'm not sure if they would communicate in radio waves, it serves to reason that, at the very least, they would try some form of communication. I believe curiosity and wonder will not be limited to our own species. The universe is too massive for such concepts to be confided within the shells of ape-descendants.

Humanity will discover alien life, but I do not believe it will be in my lifetime, instead it is more likely that such an event will occur once we discover faster-than-light travel (and don't give me that garbage about relativity; before we broke 35 mph people in steam engines thought it was impossible, and your skeleton would be liquified by doing so. Light speed is just another hurdle for man to eventually jump.).

Humanity must first extend its arms before we can shake hands with other cultures. Radio is nice, but it assumes there are other cultures out there using this same form of communcation.

Much better to send ourselves instead.
