Profile: stargazer

Personal background
I am from Richmond, Virginia. I am now retired on disability. I love anything that has to do with Star Trek, Babylon5, Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, and SciFi. I love to read SciFi, History,Science, Astronomy, write, run my blog, [http://helloiraq.blogspot.com], and most all types of music. I consider myself a lifetime student. I often use my binoculars or telescope to check out the night time sky. My greatest dream is to be able to go to space one time before I die. If I don't make it, then I want some part of my body to go up in a capsule. I am a Marine Corps Veteran from Vietnam era. I blog to support and cheer up our troops.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.] I can't believe a God would create all there is here on Earth and "out there" and only put life on Earth. I want to live long enough to find a signal, or see aliens from another world. I only pray they are more civilized than we are here on Earth.

2.] I think not enough people take Seti seriously. This is a great project.

3.] Just keep doing what you are doing.

One day I would love to go to a real tracking station with a telescope, a real telescope, and really see the heavens! It is another one of my dreams.
