Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
well i defenetly belive in the possibility of some kind of life in the vast universe. there are billions and billions of stars out there and each of them has a slim posibility of hosting life. so why not listen for any signs of this life?
if however we were to recive word from these aliens there would have gone thousands of years since the message was send till we recived it. thats why i realisticly think that the life on the alien planet would have forgotten that their ancestors had originaly send out this call/signal and would be very surprised if we were to reply (this would take even more time) practicaly we could never form a conversation with them, but if we recived evidence of life on other planets, life on our own little earth would truly change for ever. for better or for worse, that is up to us to decide but it would truly be an amasing discovery, that could lead to a golden age of inspiration and creation.
