Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do you run SETI@home?
I think that since not a large amount of financal resources have to go into the project thanks to all the volenteers it is worthwile. Even if the project doesn't find ET, maybe it will point out some other interesting radio phenomena.

aThoughts about ETI
I have a hard time believing that in a universe this large their wouldn't be some other life.
The real question is are they advanced enough for us to detect? If they are advanced enough are they transmitting?
I think that if we do discover ET, it will be a huge "wakeup" call for human beings. Their will always be skeptics unless ET lands in frount of the White House.
As far as sending our own signal... I think that if it can be done without a large expence it would be interesting. I feel that if it is a large expence that the money could be better spent elsewhere.a
