I'm a college guy from Canada, and I thought that it would be nice to contribute my computer's computational time when I'm not using it.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) Why do you run SETI@home?
- Because I like contributing to something useful.
2) What are your views about the project?
- I believe that this project has great promise for helping to advance multi-processor technologies.
3) Any suggestions?
- I'm waiting for being able to choose what I want my computer to process. Looking for other intelligent life is important, but we could look for thousands of years and still not find any conclusive proof. I want to contribute to something that is more likely to have an effect within a few decades. : )
