Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
ET civilisations may or may not exist. i think if they do exist, it must in such a bizarre form that we cannot even imagine. i don't believe such a scenario of little green men arriving in luminated spaceships would ever happen.
it is the global involvement of so many people, for a single possibly unreachable goal, with a huge amount of passion, that makes this whole thing full of grand human spirit. they've proved that they can do something else besides hating each other.
in the past few years i watched the leonid meteor shower on my birthday.
this year, I'm gonna run SETI@home.
