Personal background
I grew up watching Tom and Jerry[/i]. I really don't think it's affected me to badly. Some people would have you believe that watching a cat with an oversized mallet terrorize a mouse all day has detrimental affects on one's mentality. Bah, they need a nice big anvil dropped on 'em.

So anyway, now I write software for the military. When I'm not doing that I'm usually eating or sleeping, though I've also been into photography and artsy-type stuff lately. I wanted to learn how to skateboard, but the cost of my health insurance has skyrocketed so I'm playing it safe for now. Musicwise, most heavy stuff is good, particularly the classic Metallica and System of a Down, though I also enjoy the even more classic Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm convinced my in-laws were originally extraterrestrials, though I've had little luck proving it. They have lots of metal mounted to their house, which is repeatedly struck by lightning. I think they're trying to phone home, but sometimes they accidentally call me instead and I have to sound interested. I figure the more people we can task to communicate with extraterrestrials, the sooner I can get rid of my in-laws.
