Profile: Steve Zappe

Personal background
Hi! My name is Steve Zappe, and I'm a bureaucrat with the State of New Mexico. I first started using SETI@home hoping to find some glimmer of intelligence here in Santa Fe, the home of all sorts of odd-ball beliefs. Unfortunately, I get the same kind of flatline on SETI@home as I do on the mentality scale here on earth.

I'm a Macintosh person, but I only run the client on my PC at work, since I can leave it on all the time. I just completed 1000 work units after a little over three years of cranking. Maybe by the time I retire in 15 years I might have a better chance of locating intelligence elsewhere in the universe than in my own backyard here in New Mexico...

Oh... and the armadillo? That was the last intelligent life in Texas, demonstrated by drowning itself in Lone Star Beer.
