Personal background
Hi, i'm from Berlin, 21 years old and I study Chemistry at the Technical Univerity of Berlin (TU).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well, of course there's something out there, nobody knows what/who it is. But it's a good thing to watch after, because it seems to be little frightend/strange for me, if we're really all alone in this huge thing called universe. Of course there may be some bad guys, but if that's the truth, it's pretty save that there are also some good guys, I think. I don't think of some technical advantages for us, I'm interrested in cultural stuff. How do they look? That's what I wanna know. Ok, perhaps we could get some help with our global heating and this stuff. But that should be the only thechnical support. Otherwise we will do some crap things with that, I think. Of course we should send something to the outerspace including telling them somehow that they also shall send something. YOU GUYS should inform more about you and what you're doing, because many people just don't know about SETI or even less about SETI@home. I think it could get some cool thing you run on your computer, camparing with friend and stuff. That would be much better. Especially with all these computer-kids that own a XP 2200 with 1024MB RAM or something, there's no big deal to run the proggie all the time.
