Personal background
I am completing my 25th revolution around the sun this 6th day of May, 02. My home is Montana for now until I catch a beam to K-PAX! I BMX, build ramps professionally, photogragh(just about everything), advise, and claim to be a "Jack of a lot of Trades" :^) Space is one of my favorite hobbies due to the multitude of possibilities that exist out there, down here, and throughout or quantum existance. I look up, see the Stars, and feel surrounded by perfect solitude.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Mathematics, though imperfect at this point of time, can show that in reality a certain number of things can exist or occur. Life is one, in fact, that has occurred here on earth and it is a shame for others to assume that we are the only of this HUGE primordial sludge to exist. Intelligence, though, is a darn good question. To think of all the factors (chaos) that occured to bring us to our current state of being and apply them towards "extra" beings is mind boggeling considering it took A LOT to bring us about. They are out there, alive and well. Have they a mind of there own that they apply towards mechanical creation... you do the numbers. It would almost remain abvious the possibilities are limited as time is unstoppable and erosion is necessary. Though they may have come and gone, or that we are the intelligent species that is sending them all those darn messages(maybe they're just starting SETI) they don't know what to do with, I remain optimistic and will continue to assist SETI and Mankind in our neat little venture.
