I am originally from the South Side of Chicago.After a short stint in the USAF I moved to Portland,Oregon,that was August of 1969.
I got married in'71. My best man was Frank Herbert,author of Dune.Divorced in '76
I was on Mt.St.Helens when she blew,on May 18 1980. That is something I'll never forget!
In July of 1980 I took a vacation,with all the intentions of coming back to Portland,landed in Chattanooga TN.and stayed.
I work in the music business as a recording and sound engineer. I owned my own business for a number of years but now I just freelance. A lot less headaches.
I have a daughter,who lives in Seattle. I also have two step children,from my current marriage,and two grand kids.
My hobbies include restoring and riding old Harley Davidson motorcycles,collecting antiques and talking on HF "ham" radio.
I've been a science fiction fan since I was a kid and that led me to an interest in UFOs and extraterrestrial life. I've visited the Roswell N.M. crash site a number of times as well as the V.L.A.(Very Large Array)in Socorro,N.M. and when I was in the Air Force I spent some time at Nellis A.F.B. NV, where Area Fifty-one is located.
That's my story in a nutshell.

I'm sure we are not alone in the universe and I believe there is a chance that we maybe offspring of a more advanced species.
I think when "they" are ready to let us know of their existence,then and only then will we "discover" them.
Discovery of alien life would upset a number of long held beliefs especially that of the fundamentalist Christians.I'm afraid that such a discovery might cause an irrational response from the powers who control our planet.We can't even get along among ourselves because of religious,political,and racial prejudices.So how are we going to do with extraterrestrials?
Since it is the universal language,signals containing simple math should be sent(even on Xz482 or wherever
1 plus 1 equals 2).This would show whoever is out there that we are intelligent,to a certain degree,and at the very least we have a basic understanding of natural laws.
This is not an original idea,I gleaned this from a movie called "Red Planet Mars".Peter Graves initiated contact with Mars by sending out the value of Pi.(3.1416).
