Personal background
My name is Mark. I am a biologist working for the federal government. I enjoy sailing, hiking, and scuba diving. Having grown up in the 60's, I experienced many of the landmark events of America's manned space program. Like many, I was glued to TV when images of astronauts walking and driving on the the moon were first broadcast. In the 70's, I became intrigued with America's unmanned space exploration program. Close-up Images of the planets were and still are fascinating to me. Considering the vastness of the universe, I believe it is very likely that intelligent life exists on other planets. If and when it is discovered, I want to be a participant in the program that first discovers it.
