| I'm part of Seti@Home because I like to support a good cause, even though I am fairly certain we (as mankind) have already been contacted by extraterrestial lifeforms right here on our home planet Sol III. I believe the public has not been notified for fear of "Columbus Reaction", ie that people would worship what they do not understand/know. But as for radio transmissions, I'm a supporter of the idea of sending Prime Numbers on the neutral hydrogen wavelength. Numbers can be expressed in binary, which by definition makes them impossible to misunderstand. "Beep beep (pause) beep beep beep (pause) beep beep beep beep beep (pause)" and so forth. |
