| My name is Florian, I am a student from Austria, at the heart of Europe. I am studying law in my third semester (as of 2006-11) at the University of Vienna. I am interested in law, politics, information, as well as art (specifially photography, which I also practice myself, all kinds of science as well as IT-related things, especially the Internet. I enjoy Jujitsu a lot and currently hold the 4th Kyu (orange belt). |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I have started using SETI@home in 2003, when I first saw it in action on my Computer Science teacher's notebook during my exchange year in Texas, USA. I thought it to be really cool, so I downloaded the client and started crunching the packets. However, after I had returned home, I had a lot more work to do in school, needed my computer more and more, and also had to reformat my hard drive a couple of times. So, after a while, SETI@home was no longer on my PC, but today I downloaded the BOINC client and shall start again! Hooray! |
