Personal background
Hello all. I work in an animal shelter here in the High Desert in Southern California. I am a long time and very serious music fan who loves everything from Heavy Metal to Jazz to Blues to Bluegrass and all points in between. I also enjoy old movies and Nascar.

SETI is doing very important work and I am glad to be even a small part of it.
Anyone from the southern California area who shares my interests are encouraged to email me at the above address.

Thanks for reading!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes, I think there is probably life beyond our planet, and it is the purest form of human self deception to think otherwise. I think that eventually the vast chasm of space will be crossed, most likely by radio transmission.

I run SETI@home because I think that the SETI programs are doing very important work and as one of those people with a DSL connection that is up and running all the time, as well as a computer that is never shut off the donation of all the extra computing time is the least that I can do and I will encourage others to do the same. If the signal is there, wouldn't it be a tragedy to miss it because no one was listening?
