William R. Pinkstaff

Hello my name is William R.
Pinkstaff of the Lawrence County Illinois Pinkstaff's.  I am 38 years old
and a System Analyst for GE Medical Information System Technologies.
Having spent 9 years in the Air Force my career naturally evolved from an
Electronics Technician to an Information Systems Specialist.  I work
primarily with Oracle Applications on an Oracle Database.  I have a broad
background in Electronic Technologies and Computer Hardware and Software and
enjoy tinkering in all of these areas.

I am happily married to Lynne M.
Pinkstaff and have two sons, Paul J. Malcolm age 9 and Sean C. Pinkstaff age 6
and a daughter Stephanie L. Walackas age 22.  My interest include the
Outdoors, Computing, Chicago and the
X-Files.

    After graduating high
school from Lake Central High in St. John, IN in 1981 I entered the Air
Force.  Trained as an Electronic Warfare Technician I learned component
level repair of complex B-52 aircraft transceiver systems at Castle AFB in
Merced, CA..  In 1985 I was assigned to work as an Integrated Avionics
Technician on the then new B-1 Bomber at Dyess AFB, TX.  While in the
military I earned an Associates Degree in Applied Avionics Technology with many
extra hours towards a Bachelor's Degree.  Since leaving the Air Force in
1991 I have worked for Critikon approximately a $100 million dollar Medical
Manufacturing Company.  I started with Critikon as an Electronic Repair
Technician and have since operated in the role

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

Extraterrestrial Life definately exist although I am unsure of to what extent. Many years ago when I was younger I actually saw what I would call a UFO. The object flew through the sky at speeds and angles which could not be achieved by modern aircraft. Although I do believe it possible that we may have technology the general public is not aware of I do not believe we could have accomplished what I saw. As far as little green men an what not, who knows? Lifeform may be beings, organic or even of an origin we do not yet understand. The important thing is that we should all be willing to accept the possible however unlikely the probable.
