Personal background
Hey, I live in Canada. That’s up North if some Americans don’t know where it is.

I got a background in computer science and working in that field. I mainly do Java for paying my house. I live in a zoo: three cats, a hamster and a fish (well, the fish passed away after three years of loyal services).

Getting old, I’m getting ready to jump in my garden to grow up some carrots, tomatoes, perhaps strawberries and other weird stuffs that we, asian people, like to eat (or pretend to like it). But that’s my mom’s idea. I only need to water it.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Hey, I wouldn't be here if I did not believe that extraterrestrial life existed. Everyone of us is weird enough to let me believe that we come from somewhere else than Earth. As to the question regarding if we are going to meet them? I would more likely answer that we might not even recognize them if we meet them. How can we absolutely be sure that it’s not just an unknown specie hidden since the beginning of times?

Sending a beacon is a funny way to spend money, don’t you think? Maybe if we send a SOS about all the shits that happen here, on Earth, asking help for food, education, and all those known and unknown humanity help. That would either bring the good guys, or the bad guys. At least, it might bring someone.

Running seti@home on my computer is just a way to slow down my CPU and work less! Really, why not use the full capacity of the computer when it’s not needed?

One thing, I just hated when the unit transfert was pulled out. I was that kind of weird guy that use to run seti@home with different e-mails just to see which computer was better, and now, I would say that I lost about 1200 results.

If an human or extraterrestrial form reads my profile and know of a way to retrieve those « lost » results, I'll be greatful. And yes, I have the e-mails and password.
