I feel it's very possible for ET life to exist, (wait, didn't we get microwave technology from aliens? - joke).. i believe most of the world would go into panic and rage if they found out. I don't feel the equipment we have available is adequate for finding if something does exist, do to the fact that if there is anything, they are probably capable of hiding from us anyway, or they are way out of range for a signal.
i have no comment on beacon transmission at this time.
I run SETI@home for competitive reasons, and because someone asked me to. i don't follow to closely on the project at this time, and my only complaint is that the program causes the fans on my laptop to run 24/7. |
