Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? [YES]
If so, when and how will humans discover it? [No idea when but it will probably be from analyzing radio signals.]
What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery? [Id like to think that the confirmation of other non-terrestrial civilizations would be an awaking for us Terrans to unite as a species and work to become a part of a bigger galaxian society.]
2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? [YES]
If so, what information should we send? [Hopefully a better portrait of our race and history than the embarrassing truth.]
3. Why do you run SETI@home? [To be the one to crunch the "greatest event in human history" packet of course!!!]
What are your views about the project? [I’m a crunching fool and I LUV IT!!!!]
Any suggestions? [Make a faster SETI program to crunch more data. More packets crunched, the closer to finding that magic signal we get.] |
