Personal background
Simple NW'estener; bigfoot believer (no, never have seen one), but yes, listen to Lynard Shynard almost all the time. What did Foster say in Contact (about discovering ET, when she was begging for funds)? "...the most important discovery in the history of history...". Too bad that they (SETI) have not had a landing out there in the desert (or wherever they/she is now).

Although; I must admit, if a big ole' craft set down crushing my rose-bushes and car and some spooky looking "entities" wafted out through some fog or whatever, I honestly think I would say 'howdy', please hold still where you are (or I'll shoot the crap out of ya). Mainly, because I'd be so freaked out myself.

I had to find some small way to be involved with SETI, what an incredible oppurtunity to advance mankind!

Oh yeah, I live by the coast of Oregon.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do you run SETI@home?
- What awesome posibilitys it allows us to take part in; although I think Paul Allen kind of trumped everyone.

What are your views about the project?
- The fact it has been running so long speaks for itself, it is obviously something worthwhile, otherwise it would not still be running...

Any suggestions?
-I'd rather they bring back the original display, instead of the new re-written Java applet.
